Sara + Gideon // Villa Aurora, Los Angeles

Updated: Jan 8

I’m constantly so honored to be able to give couples a collection of images that fully capture all the best of their big day. It was extra special to capture this wedding.

Sara is one of my best friends. We've been prancing ponies together since 2011 and I was her last roomie before she moved in with Gideon. Gideon is nothing short of a zen master badass. He was training for the Leadville 100 bike race when I met him and his motivation is addictive. Together, they became my LA power couple.

In true form, they snagged the coolest venue, ticking off all the boxes of badass: historic, private, and an ocean sunset. The Villa Aurora was purchased by a prominent German-Jewish author in 1943, and became a safe haven for German artists, writers, and poets during WWII. Today, the Villa remains a space for German artists who are accepted into the residency program. To say that I nerded out about this place is an understatement, I dare you to ask me about it - I could go on for an hour.

Gideon made planning + throwing a wedding look casual, an I know for a fact, that's not the case. Sara + Gideon are my inspirational LA power couple, and two of the most authentically awesome people I've ever stumbled upon. Capturing their day was nothing short of a joy and honor.

SB+G, I love you both to the moon and back!
